| This position will be responsible for operating and supporting the various applications & operating systems in use by the cooperative. Additionally, this position will support the cooperative’s SaaS, IaaS, & on-prem environment, and will ensure the availability of cooperative resources meets established service level objectives. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of fundamental architecture principles, networking, and resilience in hybrid environments. |
- Support on-prem, SaaS, & IaaS environments.
- Deploy scalable, high-performance environments that meet security & compliance requirements while maintaining high availability & resiliency.
- Manage user lifecycle procedures from initialization through the deprovisioning of accounts in Active Directory & Okta.
- Implementing and supporting SSO applications via Okta.
- Maintain backups ensuring the ability to recover OS & application data in adherence with established RTOs & RPOs.
- Continuing education & upskilling regarding operating hybrid environments. Stay abreast of industry best practices & monitor industry relevant publications & advisories.
- Perform maintenance & upgrades of AV, Auditorium, & Conference room technologies.
- Create system documentation and diagrams.
- Serves as level 2 support & an escalation point for the helpdesk.
- Provide after-hours support for infrastructure-related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
- Provide continuous monitoring of the network & all assets for any signs of anomalies configuring alerts where necessary.
- Ensure operating systems run efficiently by performing necessary upgrades.

- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a computer-related area and 2 + years of experience working with on-prem & IaaS environments.
- In lieu of bachelor’s degree, 6+ years of progressive experience in the IT field with valid industry certifications.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Network+, Okta Certified Professional).
- Extensive knowledge managing and supporting desktops, servers, & datacenters.
- Strong knowledge of SIPs, DIDs, and AWS components such as VPCs, S3, & load balancing. Experience with Broadcom vSphere, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Veeam Backup & Replication, and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Linux OS, Windows Server OS, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy, SharePoint, and Microsoft365 administration (including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint).
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI & NIST.
- Assist in patch and vulnerability management efforts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Must have experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, , Okta, etc.
- Experience with Audio & Visual, and conference room technologies (Neat, Crestron, Barco)
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.
- Customer Service & interpersonal skills are essential
- Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must satisfactorily pass the EMC's employment physical examination, criminal background, and required drug screens
